Therefore, these epistles do not as a general rule deal with the specific topic of being an anchorite. Rather, they are presented here because they concern spiritual knowledge a well-developed Body of believers ought to know. The letters address various spiritual principles the well-developed soul requires to comprehend God and His ways and the soul's responsibilities as it walks the Path of Christ.
