This website is for the encouragement of the Body of Christ to anchor itself to the Anchor of our corporate and personal soul, Jesus Christ, and to provide thoughtful meditations on various aspects of God's Truth for the building up of this Body. Every soul that anchors itself to Christ has the potential to become what I call a little anchor of the Church, which is to be an anchor of God's Truth for those in one's life-boat, such as in the home, to one's neighbors, or in one's local church--in short, to be ready with the stability God's Truth provides for those who are in our spheres of influence.

 

While I myself pursue an anchorite calling, and the epistles and this website are a product of this calling, they are not for the purpose of readers feeling compelled to take up such a calling themselves.

I consider myself a little anchor of the Church in addition to pursuing an anchorite calling. I pursue prayer, simplicity, and seclusion for the purpose of fulfilling an anchorite calling, which is to direct one's energies to devotion to Christ and the well-being of His Body of believers. Yet, as stated, anyone can be developed by God's grace in order to act as a spiritual anchor for other souls in the deep Sea of God's Truth. All it takes is an intentional willingness to grow in His Truth (and growing in other Christ-virtues are never a bad thing in general).

 

This site is not connected with the Catholic or Anglican Church or any official religious order, denomination, or organization. There can be a difference between fulfilling the duties of a religious office and pursuing a personal calling for the welfare of God's Church.
